Narrative Control 60: The LOST Episode
- Information being lost between the GM and the Players
- Detailing a scene for 10 minutes - information can get lost (too much, people not listening to everything, forgetting to state something)
- Trusting in each other to give the information needed to progress the story
- Communication is key between the GM and player - expectations, where the story is going, not keeping secrets to mess over the players later
- Games need limitations to create amazing characters
- Don’t horde the cool! Everyone should do cool things
Shark Bone 47:
- Dances With Wolves
- Creating a character reputation
- Character journal - can leave it behind within the story to create problems
- Finding an NPC journal with information in it
- Props
- props don’t tie into the mechanics of the game
- Sending out emails (for modern age game) Snail mail or scrolls!
- Creating immersion
- Bugging people with props takes away from the game (maybe you shouldn’t have props)
- Actual colors - gaming is very oratory (speaking and exercising our brains)
- Visual cue for the characters
- Color inspires mood and emotions
- What emotion is your character doing at that moment? Use the color in your description to enhance the game
- RPG (roleplaying game!)
- Gamemaster
- Player
